Camouflage

Vitra Summer Workshop
Luis Úrculo
Boisbuchet, France 2012

Camouflage is a method of concealment that allows an otherwise visible animal, military vehicle or other object to remain unnoticed by blending with the enviroment. It can be achieved in different ways, Cripsis- ‐being hidden, the apparent oposites in Mimesis- ‐being seen, but resembling something else, and Dazzle that found military application in the 20th Century by disrupting the visualization of the shape & size of the object.

During a week we worked using the natural space that the Domaine de Boisbuchet offers as a working field were we applied this concepts into working models, experiments and visual battle fields.
